Amazon Music

Picture
Seesaw is an app (or website) that makes creating student driven digital portfolios super easy to create and utilize.  My students and I use it daily.  All posts are shared with parents in real time.  We have used it for collecting and sharing:
  • Classroom pictures
  • Videos of science activities
  • Audio of student explanations
  • Labeled science diagrams
  • And more!
Learn More
Music is a very important component of the learning experience in my classroom.  If you are an Amazon Prime subscriber (music automatically comes with Prime), you can click the link below for a playlist I created for classroom use that currently has 72 songs and counting.  The songs are primarily pop songs from the last five years.  I have carefully looked at each song to ensure that they are free of language and content that would be inappropriate for a classroom.

Some ways I use this music:
  • Transitions in the classroom
  • Language arts lessons
  • Character and other social lessons
  • Inspiration, brain breaks
  • Hooks for lessons/units

Twitter

Picture
I started using Twitter last school year to start building a PLN (Personal Learning Network).  Utilizing Twitter to connect with other educators in Rochester and around the globe has been career changing for me.  Twitters allows me to share resources, connect with experts and professionals, collaborate on initiatives, and grow professionally in many other ways!
