I am a blessed member of a family of four. My wife, Kim, is a 5th grade teacher at Lincoln Elementary. Madden is ten years old and is a fifth-grader at Lincoln K-8 School. Easton is nine and is a third-grader at Lincoln. When I am not working with the best students in town at Folwell, there is a good chance that I am loving it up at home with my awesome family!

Outside of teaching and spending time with family, I have many interests and hobbies. I absolutely love sports. Over the past several years I have played basketball, volleyball, flag football, kickball, softball, and even on an 1860's vintage base ball team, the Roosters of Olmsted County. (...me playing at Field of Dreams in Iowa to the right) I'd love to learn pickle ball or cricket. I just need to find someone to teach me!
In addition to playing sports, I enjoy watching them as well. I am a fan of the Vikings, Twins, Timberwolves, Wild, Loons, and Gophers. I watch these teams on TV, but enjoy attending games in person even more.

I have not always been a fifth grade teacher. I started my career in the Graduate Induction program at Winona State. I was a teacher at Jefferson Elementary during the 2004/05 school year and earned a master's degree by attending night and summer classes. I moved to Folwell the next year and taught 3rd grade for five years. I transferred to 5th grade for the 2010/11 school year and have been loving teaching 5th grade ever since.
I spend my summers teaching photography classes at Quarry Hill and recently finished up work on obtaining my principal's license from Winona State University.
